Stallion Strength

A display of stallion hormones in oil on canvas inspired by the majesty and strength of the glorious creatures. Determination, need for dominance, elegant yet fierce, every muscle is stained beyond its limit waiting for the moment the feet land on the ground.

Venice
Venice

Venice (Italy). A reminder of the colorful days in spring. This piece was inspired by my honeymoon in Venice and was created out of my memory. Many may argue that Venice is not that colorful, but the colors used are only a sample of what it represents to. Delicate details were created by a chisel and knives

After reading the comment I had to go and take a look at your work and I found your statement, I'm afraid I cannot agree with it, yes there is Bad art, as there is bad music or mediocre arquitecture. Not everything is art, and a painting can be bad, kitschy and clumsy. And what is worse it can say nothing at all.

After seeing your work almost walk out of the screen I have complete respect for your point of view! Absolutely stunning work. As I mentioned art is self expression so some people try to hard to express thus doing it badly while others just have no idea what they are doing... but people like you have it in them and can be called artists...

Beautiful painting Fadwa. That moment of reflection is rendered so well, and opens a world of conjecture of what she's thinking of. The rich colour and sensual modelling of the body add to the intimacy of the piece. I could well imagine a writer starting a narrative based his/her reaction to the painting.

Simple light piece in oil of two horses sharing a mouthful of hay. Tenderness is a feeling that is best shared. The powerful creatures even seem to enjoy that moment.

Fairytale Cottage

As a mother of three grown kids, one of my fondest memories was that of story time. I used to keep the children interested through the detailed descriptions of castles, dungeons, and fairytale cottages in the woods. This is the first real piece in which I actually put one of those story telling moments to life.

Living in a fast paced life, I find peace in my art. As thoughts accumulate within the brains they tend to explode through the realm of abstract colors.

The turmoils in one's life are merely a small storm that hit a seashore village compared to those faced by others. Inspired by mixed blessings of beauty and hardship, trouble but working through it, and the anticipation of the calm that is to follow.

Dance for Life

Self expression is the venting medium for many. Art in all its forms is a representation of self expression. Dancing in happiness creates a joyful colorful memory to many. To me, it is simply part of a perfect life

We need all the more in times like this paintings like this - the colourful exuberant escape of the joy of dancing. What's interesting about this work though is the seeming tint of sadness, loneliness and doubt that makes the title all the more beguiling. The two main figures are not in eye contact, both appear to be vaguely masked, with the face of the apparent male figure on the left deeply shadowed in almost a sinister way. She is green both in dress and skin and appears anything but happy, despite the sumptuous reds of the fan or flowers she cradles. In contrast to the sensuous riot of colour overall, the picture's effect, in my view, is one more of desperation than desire, of the surrender to less benign forces than of the defiance of wild abandon.

African Charm

A colorful explosion of African Charm encased within an Arabesque hand made frame. A contemporary modern acrylic painting highly textured and very richly detailed. Colored earthenware vase complements the overall look. This piece was inspired by my travels to Africa and my heritage (Lebanese i.e. Arabic). Its texture is enriched by real desert sand and Arabic hand written sections surrounding the canvas.

Dance on Fire

Fire is a source of life. Staring at a candle flame you can't help not seeing the dancer in it, swaying and moving, at moments erratically at others gracefully, very much like how life is lived.
