Titus, I found the studio log for this work very interesting. From a very basic background you paint a complete quality painting from top to bottom like a computer screen refresh. Amazing! You've clearly a strong command of your subject and materials. I'm interested too to see how your work develops over time.
Curiously, I was expecting an "African" type painting from an African artist. That your work has a very western perspective to it challenged my cultural conditioning - that's a good thing for me.
This painting of the "struggle of the average Nigerian" depicts too the artist's social consciousness. I know I wouldn't ask this of a European colleague, but do you feel a sense of responsibility as an African artist? If so, in what way? It appears to me that you subtly challenge the stereotypical protrayal of African life that we are presented with in the west.

I must give kudos to you for a selfless service to the artworld, thank you.
Art is a universal visual language, never the less of its diverse clasification, i see it as an "individualistic tendency" in the quest for the truth.
I have interest in painting landscapes and everyday happenstance, which i strive towards documentation and preservation of the african cultural heritage in a realistic rendition

At Barney,s Backyard
On a visit to the house of a British artist- Barney, I found this sence very interesting. Through his backyard flows the river Thames. So I decide to paint it as a gift for him on his 78th birthday.
