the observer is in the Tree of life. My interest in Archeology led me to the Egytians: the study of their art forms led me to encaustic. the name comes from the Greek "encautikos" meaning to fuse. The greeks picked up the technique when they invaded Egypt. I enjoy the process of making my paint: makes me feel like an alchemist. The ppprocess is slow and you should take your time.
